While many merchants only have one Square POS system, other merchants have more than one Square POS to accommodate multiple retail locations. SKU IQ is able to configure multiple Square POS locations to sync with one Shopify account.

When you have multiple Square locations syncing with Shopify, it requires that orders be manually fulfilled within SKU IQ so inventory quantities can be properly adjusted by location. If we enable multiple Square locations within SKU IQ, inventory adjustments cannot be automated.

If you have multiple Square POS locations that you’d like to sync with your Shopify store, reach out to the SKU IQ support team so they can set up your account correctly. If you have multiple Square POS locations, but only want to sync one location with your Shopify store, you’ll still need to reach out to our support team so they can configure your account correctly.

When you reach out to support, you’ll need to provide the following information to the support team:

  • Employee Name – You’ll be asked to choose an employee who the sales will be accredited to in your POS system. We recommend creating a new user within Square with the name “online.”
  • Locations – You’ll be asked to tell us which of your Square locations you’d like to sync with Shopify. Our support team will provide you with a list of possible Square locations that we can enable for syncing with Shopify.

After the configuration of multiple Square locations is completed, we might need to re-import your product data so that your inventory displays correctly within SKU IQ.

Once your inventory data is reimported, your setup is complete and it will be necessary to manually fulfill orders using the SKU IQ dashboard. See the “Manually fulfilling orders if you have multiple Square retail locations” section of the FAQs for more information.

  1. Click on the Shopify icon. An authorization window displays.

2.Type your Shopify store name without the suffix “.myshopify.com.” For example, if your store’s URL is “my boutique.myshopify.com,” you will only type “my-boutique” into SKU IQ.

3.Click Authorize. A Shopify Log In window opens.

4.Type your email address and click Next

5.Type your password and click Log In. A Connected window displays.

6.Click the “X” in the top right corner to close the window.
